// Case Study CS3 · Artist

A cinematic home
for a spoken-word artist.

A South Side Chicago spoken-word artist, host, teaching artist, and founder of Blessed Beyond Measure. With her debut album So…I Speak! out, she needed one place that carried all of it and felt like her work does on stage.

01 · Problem

Scattered links.
A voice worth more.

Her work lived across social and streaming: the album in one place, performances in another, bookings through DMs. There was no single place a promoter, a fan, or a partner could land and understand who she is.

An artist site usually means a template and a link list. Her audience comes for the voice. The site had to carry that feeling, not just the facts.

02 · Approach

A performance,
not a brochure.

We built the site as one cinematic scroll, shaped like a set: a lit stage for the opening, the album at center, her story, the events calendar, and a booking close. Her nonprofit, Blessed Beyond Measure, gets its own page, reached through a signature curtain transition between her two worlds.

Motion is the ceiling, never the floor. Every section renders complete without animation or JavaScript, and the 3D only loads on devices that can carry it, so a phone on a slow connection still gets the whole site.

03 · Build

What we shipped.

F1 · The Album, Playable

The Album, Playable

So…I Speak! sits at the center: a play button that blooms into a gold soundwave, a 3D vinyl that slides from its sleeve and spins, the full tracklist with credits, and streaming links. Real 30-second previews, no embedded third-party player.

F2 · A Stage in the Browser

A Stage in the Browser

A custom WebGL hero with stage light, haze, and film grain, a bloom preloader, smooth scroll, and word-by-word animated type. The 3D only loads on devices that can carry it; every section still renders complete without it.

F3 · Events and Bookings

Events and Bookings

A live events calendar she manages herself from a private admin — add, edit, remove, no developer needed. Booking inquiries land instantly in her inbox, and newsletter signups go to her own list.

F4 · Blessed Beyond Measure

Blessed Beyond Measure

Her nonprofit gets its own page in black, gold, and cream, set like its logo, with a gold crown that glides between sections as you scroll, and ways to donate, sponsor, partner, or volunteer.

04 · Outcome

One place
for the whole voice.

taurathepoet.com launched with her album playable, her events live and in her own hands, bookings flowing to her inbox, and her nonprofit presented on its own terms.

Promoters, fans, and partners now land in one place that sounds like her.
